Help / FAQ
Answers to common questions about accounts, reviews, publishing, public profiles, and how Candor works.
If you are looking for quick answers before publishing or interacting with the platform, start here.
Candor is public by design: formation pages, reviews, and discussions are meant to help other people make better learning decisions.
That means the questions people ask most often are usually about visibility, identity, moderation, and how community content works in practice.
1. What is Candor?+
Candor is a platform for discovering online formations, reading reviews, publishing your own experience, and comparing public feedback before you decide what to buy or join.
It is designed to make reviews more useful, structured, and easíer to compare than scattered social posts or comment threads.
2. Do I need an account?+
You can browse public pages without an account. To publish reviews, comments, votes, reports, or create formations, you need to sign in.
Candor currently uses Google sign-in and requires onboarding before you can publish community content.
3. Are reviews public?+
Yes. Reviews and comments are public content on Candor.
They may be visible to other users, appear on public formation pages, and be indexed by search engines.
4. Can I use my real name?+
You can if you want to, but you do not need to. Candor is built around pseudonymous publishing.
Your reviews and comments may appear under the public username and display name you choose for your profile.
If you want more detail on identity and public visibility, see the Identity & Privacy FAQ.
5. How does Candor rank reviews?+
Candor uses signals like votes and content quality to help surface the most useful reviews first.
We do not promise a single public ranking formula, but the goal is to reward clarity, specificity, and usefulness over noise.
6. Can I edit or delete my review?+
Some content can be edited or deleted, but not every action is unlimited once content is public.
Certain edits, removals, or discussion traces may remain subject to product rules, moderation needs, technical limits, or public caching.
7. What happens if I report something?+
You can report reviews or comments that appear abusive, misleading, spammy, or otherwise inappropriate.
Candor may review reported content through moderation workflows, but submitting a report does not guarantee immediate removal.
8. Can anyone add a formation?+
Candor includes community-created formation pages, so users may be able to add new formations to the platform.
Because these listings can be community-created, some details may be incomplete or inaccurate. If you spot a problem, contact us or report it through the platform.
9. Is my personal data public?+
Not all of it. Your public profile information and the content you publish may be visible publicly, but some account and authentication data remains private.
For the full explanation, read our Privacy Policy and Identity & Privacy FAQ.
10. Where should I go next?+
If you want practical writing advice, read the Review Guidelines. If you want legal or privacy detail, go to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
If your question is specifically about identity, profile visibility, or what appears publicly, start with the Identity & Privacy FAQ.
